Credit Repair Letter – A Sample Dispute Letter To Send To Credit Agencies

A credit repair letter can make or break your ability to get the loans you want at the best interest rates, or risk being declined. Find out how to write a credit repair letter designed to get errors removed from your credit report so you can get that loan you’re after.

You would have received your credit report from one of the big three credit agencies, either Equifax, Experian or Trans Union.

If after going over your credit report carefully, you find what you think is an error then you need to dispute it with the credit reporting agency you got the report from.

What you need to do is let the credit agency know what information is incorrect on your report by writing a credit repair letter to them.

In this credit repair letter you need to point out to them what the inaccurate information is and include some kind of proof in regard to it if you have it or can copies of it.

Something like photocopies of cancelled checks that were used to pay the account (you would need to contact your bank for these) or receipts showing payments you have made.

Anything you can find to back up your claim that the information on there is incorrect. Don’t panic if you can’t find any evidence to support your dispute.

You still have a right to dispute any errors even if you can’t get copies of any evidence to the contrary so still pursue the dispute.

Following is a sample credit repair letter you can use as a basis for your own.
