Raise Credit Score Fast – Can It Be Done?
Can you raise credit score fast? You’re after a loan for that next large purchase, and you’re a bit concerned about your credit situation and wondering if there’s a way to raise your credit score fast so you can get the loan approved, and pay a low interest rate on it. But is it possible?
Well there are a couple of things you can do to raise credit score fast, but it’s not going to happen overnight. It will take over a month as the credit agencies need to contact the companies who originally reported the items to get them verified, and they have 30 days in which to do it.
So raising your credit score may not happen in a matter of days but it won’t take forever either.
Inaccurate items can be removed fairly quickly, you just write a letter disputing those items and as mentioned above, the credit agency has 30 days to get them verified.
If they don’t get them verified which they obviously won’t if it’s an error, those items will be deleted off your credit report so that’s one way to raise credit score fast.
It’s the same for other items that may be accurate but can’t be verified maybe because they’re old or the company who reported the item is no longer in business.
So you could also try disputing some items on your credit report that may be old and see if they actually do get verified. If they can’t be verified then that’s more items off your credit report to raise credit score fast.
But don’t overdo this method for accurate items. Just try doing it for a couple – don’t abuse this tactic. You are within your rights to dispute any item on your credit report and it is up to the credit reporting agencies to verify it or it has to be removed according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
So there are a couple of ways to raise credit score fast – by removing items off your report your credit score will go up – hopefully enough for you to get that loan you’re after at a good interest rate.
